Dear Readers,

The Chinese government, through the State Administration for Market Regulation, is investigating Alibaba, the top antitrust watchdog said in a statement without further details.

It is an investigation into alleged monopolistic practices at Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. and affiliate Ant Group Co.

Leftist Analysis:

Leftists believe that the government should prevent monopolies from arising in an economy.

The decision to investigate Alibaba is to prevent it from becoming a monopoly.

Therefore it is a Leftist investigation.

Rightist Analysis:

Rightists believe that the government should not prevent monopolies from arising in an economy.

The decision to investigate Alibaba is to prevent it from becoming a monopoly.

Therefore it is not a Rightist investigation.

Authoritarian Analysis:

Authoritarians believe that the government should control the activities of private businesses.

This decision is an effort to control the activities of a private decision.

Therefore it is an Authoritarian decision.

Libertarian Analysis:

Libertarians believe that the government should not control the activities of private businesses.

This decision is an effort to control the activities of a private decision.

Therefore it is a Libertarian decision.

My Analysis:

I believe that this decision is just done to control and intimidate Alibaba and its owner and founder Jack Ma. I understand that monopolies can be dangerous. But they also have benefits. I believe that if a company has become a monopoly through fair means without any support from the government then the government should not change it into not being a monopoly.

I disagree with this decision.

This is an Authoritarian Left-wing decision.

Thank you for Reading.
