Dear Reader,

On the 15th of June the Indian Army was had a battle with the Chinese Army.

The two armies had agreed on the 13th to disengage from their sides of the Line of Actual Control. The Indian Army removed its equipment from infrastructure and went to inspect the Chinese Army. They found that there was still a tent put up by the Chinese and burnt and dismantled it.

They were then attacked by the Chinese and had a fight with their hands and sticks and clubs. Firearms were not used as per a 1996 agreement not to use them on the border.

20 Indian soldiers were killed along with 43 Chinese soldiers.

Later in the week India decided to ban telecom companies from signing or executing any deals with or buying any equipment from China. This is the order I will analyse today.

Telecom Ministry Orders Companies to Ban all Chinese Deals and Equipment.

Leftist Analysis:

Leftism advocates against the government being able to discriminate against other countries.

This order allows the government to discriminate against Chinese companies.

Therefore it is not a left-wing order.

Rightist Analysis:

Rightism advocates for the government to be able to discriminate against other countries.

This order allows the government to discriminate against Chinese companies.

Therefore it is a right-wing order.

Authoritarian Analysis:

Authoritarians advocate for the government to be able to control trade with other countries.

This order allows the government to inhibit trade with China.

Therefore it is an authoritarian order.

Libertarian Analysis:

Libertarians advocate for the government to not be able to control trade with other countries.

This order allows the government to inhibit trade with China.

Therefore it is not a libertarian order.

My Analysis:

I agree with this order. I do believe that India should at least restrict if not ban trade with China due to their hostile behaviour towards us. Libertarians often overlap with right-wingers to promote free trade. However the right-wing emphasis on nationalism does create obstacles in following free trade policies. This order shows one of the differences between right-wing and libertarian economic beliefs which are too often misunderstood to be identical.

Conclusion:

This is an authoritarian, right wing order.
